Key Responsibilities:

 

1. Teaching & Academic Guidance

  • Prepare and deliver lectures, seminars, and tutorials.

  • Develop course materials and curricula.

  • Guide students in academic projects, dissertations, and theses.

2. Research & Publication

  • Conduct original research in their field of expertise.

  • Publish papers in peer-reviewed journals.

  • Present findings at national and international conferences.

3. Mentorship & Supervision

  • Advise students on academic and career paths.

  • Supervise research scholars and PhD candidates.

4. Academic Administration

  • Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and accreditation processes.

  • Assist in policy-making for academic programs.


Requirements:

 

  • Education:

    • Master’s degree (minimum) in subject area; PhD preferred or required for most universities.

    • NET/SET qualification for Indian universities (as per UGC norms).

  • Skills:

    • Deep subject expertise.

    • Strong research and analytical skills.

    • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

    • Academic writing and publishing skills.


Salary (India):

 

  • Assistant Professor: ₹50,000–₹80,000/month.

  • Associate Professor: ₹80,000–₹1,20,000/month.

  • Full Professor: ₹1,20,000–₹2,00,000+/month.

  • Overseas: ₹2,00,000–₹6,00,000+/month (depending on country and institution).
