Educational requirements (India context):
BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) – 5 years (4 years academics + 1-year internship) from a DCI-recognized college
Registration with the Dental Council of India to practice legally
Optional MDS (Master of Dental Surgery) for specialization (e.g., orthodontics, oral surgery, periodontics)

No formal degree is required, but a Dental Assistant Certificate or Diploma (6 months – 1 year) is preferred
