Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (AMEs) are licensed professionals responsible for ensuring that aircraft are safe, airworthy, and compliant with aviation regulations before they take off.

They don’t fly the plane — they make sure it can fly safely. Without an AME’s approval, no aircraft can legally leave the ground.
