Key Responsibilities:

 

1. Surface Preparation

  • Clean, sand, and scrape surfaces to remove old paint or debris.

  • Fill cracks and holes with putty or plaster.

  • Apply primer before painting.

2. Painting & Finishing

  • Mix and match paint colors according to specifications.

  • Apply paint, varnish, or coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray guns.

  • Ensure smooth and even finishes.

3. Detailing & Special Effects

  • Create textures, patterns, or decorative finishes.

  • Apply protective coatings (waterproofing, anti-rust).

4. Safety & Maintenance

  • Work at heights using ladders or scaffolding safely.

  • Protect furniture, flooring, and fixtures from paint splatter.

  • Maintain tools and painting equipment.


Requirements:

 

  • Education: No formal degree; vocational training preferred.

  • Skills:

    • Knowledge of paints, coatings, and application techniques.

    • Color sense and attention to detail.

    • Physical stamina for long hours and heights.

    • Ability to follow safety guidelines.


Salary (India):

 

  • Entry-level: ₹12,000–₹18,000/month.

  • Skilled: ₹18,000–₹28,000/month.

  • Overseas/Gulf: ₹35,000–₹60,000+/month (plus accommodation & benefits).
